A finales del siglo XIV el gótico recibió la influencia de una nueva corriente estilística, coincidió con el periodo de mayor expansión territorial de la Corona de Aragón, después de la reconquista de una parte de la península, se produjo la conquista de Mallorca 1229-1231 y después la de Valencia en 1232-1245, y continuo en los finales del S. XIII y primeros del XIV con una importante influencia en el mediterráneo.
